I would say fast for its size. with the right engine and prop preferably a jett90lx and apc 11x8 prop you will get it to the 120 to maybe 140mph range depending on winds. There is a few other threads on this plane. try the search and you will get all the info you need on this plane. I have one with that engine combo and it is a blast to fly

I have one and set it up to use an os 91 fan engine. Best we got was 151 by radar using 11-9

You better save some money for a JETT engine, or buy a used OS 91 DF motor.

You can find the OS 91 DF on ebay once in a while for a good price.

I think I have a ROSSI that will fly that fast!!!!
Never mind, I forgot, I only fly slow planes!

Yes, the jett 90LX will get the thing going ok, leaving the intended flight character as a fun sport flyer, same as the Alley Cat and Shoestring, only a few guys will get 120 out of them just cause they are larger than needed to retain that easy sport flying. Now Randy has something working to get 150 out of them with the OS 91VRDF. 150 is nothing to sneese about, so he has things worked out well is seems. Would like to see a couple of pics of the engine and exhaust install. Have a AC and two of the OS engines in the cabinet waiting for me to get on the stick and do something with them. As summer is getting closer, am looking to create something sneaky for the gang. My OS engines have the typical rear carb and rear exhaust which call for a from scratch design to optomise whats there, but if Randy has found a better way to deal with the things, would sure like to see it. My last go faster thing created years ago required the carb to exit and take air from the interior, a K & B 40 in a formula thingy. It back fired out of a turn, soon a smoke trail and all to soon into mother earth at good speed. Yea, now I think of a additional fire wall and some low drag scoops, but a little late. What ya got going Randy?

You may be better off putting a Jett 50 on a viper if you really want to go fast for a decent price!

you will be happy with this plane. Julian is right if all you want to do is go fast, but if you want something that looks awesome in the air the toni will do the trick, and it will perform with decent speed while performing basic sport scale moves easily.
