Default The Whiplash X Lives Again

We are happy to announce that we'll soon be releasing the new and improved Whiplash X after the first units are approved, which wont be long now..'
More news to follow..
It will have better elevon action, lighter in weight, but just as strong as before.
In case you forgot how strong it is, check out the photo below..

By the way, there has been an attempt to duplicate the Whiplsh by an individual from Florida.. This is not an authorized ACM aircraft, and he has been advised to cease and desist production of this aircraft,, It is not licensed by ACM for resale.

Theres only one Whiplash

Price - - - - we need price and some idea of a delivery date.

You can't do that to us............. "we got a couple, you can't have one, save some money, wait a while"

Details man, where are the details?????

Sincerely

All I can say at this point is that I'll have a sample to approve by early next week.. if its approved and passes all tests, it goes into production immediately.
Price likely around the price it sold for before.. maybe... I cant guarantee that ... it may be lower..
depends on a lot of things..
patience kids..

Rick- YOU DA MAN!

Are the Elevons gonna be easier to move? [X(]

I have been asking about a Whip or similar for awhile... I figured ACM would be building drones rather than WHips! Glad you are making my favorite composite delta---

KMOT- Yes, you must have one! And a Jett-50FIRE or K&B 7.5CC FIRE to power it! (I will volunteer to fly it for ya-)

I have had 3 here is my latest!

Sure looks like a heavy, composite copy of a Diamond Dust to me. Will a .46 fly it?

I remember the name, but wasn't interested in high speed stuff them. Didn't it cost over $400?

I can fully attest to the strength of these things!!! mine hit a rather large bush at a high speed (thick one too) and went straight in when an servo screw came out in flight... and it still flys like a champ!

Gawd I hope they are not in the $400 range.....$169 would be a lot nicer or it might go the way of the Corvette ZR-1[:@]

Boys and Girls, it wont even be in the $400.00 range, it never was except for the airbrushed schemes.

The new puppy will have control surfaces a mini could move..
but I'd recommend more servo for a 200 mph plane of course/.

I got the first production version today, looks great, a little more tweekin and she'll be ready... have patience my children, [:@]

To the gentleman with the remarks about a heavy version of the Diamond Dust, it's simply a Delta wing aircraft, the owner of DD and myself have spoken on many occasions and agree it has a lot of DD similarities, but the difference is no other delta can take the beating this puppy can.. guaranteed.

It comes in at a heavy 1.8 lbs but a 46FX straight out the box with a stock muffler will pull her along at a recorded and verified 148 mph all day long.

It's a little twitchy on launch, but thats to be expected..
once in the air, she's on rails..

The way to eliminate the squirlleyness on launch is a launcher we will be making and selling also, this will not be like the old version, it will have a bungee setup for a quicker launch..

lots of cools stuff coming down the pike Whip fans..

Even graphic packages especially for the Whiplash that will eliminate a lot of painting, and maybe some super cool airbrush art too..

More to Follow..

BTW, the gent with the magazine, I'll be happy to send you a Whiplash X to fly and review..

cheers maties

This is really cool. I still have a Whip in the box from the scatch and dent sell of of a few years back (shame on me). Is there any plan for a version I can hang my Rossi 90 RIRE on?

Cobra,

the whip for $400 was the EXTREME servos mounted inside the wing
last run of whips were $169.

go the way of the Corvette ZR-1... Have you drive the new C6 or Z06 ?

Rick,

Will David @ Air Art be painting thew whips as before?

Hi Crazy,

I own a C5 and have driven a C5 Z06 on several occasions (defintely has a lot of put u in your seat power with its 405 HP and short-geared transmission)......I have also driven the new C6 (seems like a more solid version of my car).......but the C6 ZO6 is in a whole different league (anybody wanna take me on a joy ride ?).....I would love to experience that 505 HP monster

Ed,

Its hard to beat a whiplash Lots and lots of them have flown. The Whiplash X version incorporated a lot of excellent features.

Take a look at the HOF gallery - lots of the original Whips in there...

(Rick, when you have a web page available, I will update that product link on this page as required)

I can't wait to see what Rick has in store for us here. Is it too early to make out the Christmas wish list ?

Rick,
The one mod I made to my Whip was to fit a 6 oz. slim Jett tank in the compartment. To make it fit I had to cut one structural cross piece at the rear of the space allocated to the tank. It would be nice if it were possible in the new model to fit this, or any other, bubble tank.

The short-6 "polecat" tank fit pretty well on the whiplash - right in the molded tank pocket.
