what to do with a west 50 with no home
So I have a West 50 from my old Magnum, the magnum is semi retired/deceased from a bad launch that busted one stab half and popped the wing block out (not a difficult thing to fix I know but I hate fixing and honestly I didn't like the plane enough to bother with fixing it) so I have a fantastic West 50 with pipe and header sitting here doing nothing. Been thinking about scratch building something fast for it, but I dunno. If I buy a kit/ARF it's got to be something that's aerodynamically clean, been down the shrike/outlaw road, not interested, don't really want a delta for that matter, I've had a whiplash and DD in the past, had quickies, I'd like something different, any ideas? I haven't a clue, that side exhaust makes it a little tougher to do the super clean kind of fuse, but I'd sure like something crazy :P

Sorry to hear about your West 50 Razor, that sucks, they are such a good engine! I absolutely love mine, however my first one seized too although it was because the lower rod bushing blew out and broke the rod sending bits of rod into the piston/liner. Weston UK was awesome, they sent me a brand new engine without question from their US supplier, I was back in the air in less than a week. Since then I've owned 3 of the West 50's and all have been perfect. I have one left, the others were sold with airframes long ago. I don't want to get rid of this engine really, for a couple reasons, 1. I really love the engine, and 2. I hate selling high RPM engines to anyone becuase you don't know when they will fail, they will fail, you just never know on what number run it will do so. I'd feel like a total ass if somebody bought my engine and it came apart a couple runs into them owning it.
The angel is another Magnum type design isn't it? I know I've seen it, just not that sure which airplane it is.

You could sell it to me, so I can build a nice twin speeder for it together with my West.
Or you could get one of those composite Q40 planes, order a Q500 muffler from Jett and have a blast.

Just put that poor neglected engine in a box and send it to me. It will have many friends and a nice home. The Jett boys picturesd below all have planes being assembled for them. I will make a short drive to Matney Models and get an Animal 500.
