Default Partiot Retract question

Gents

I need some opinions and options for retracts for my patriot. I am thinking of sticking some cheap hobbico mech's in there but would love to hear of other options.

Any retracts out there that wont break the bank but will do a better job then the mech's?

thanks!

if you're talking a 40 size, the low profile Hobbico are about as good as it gets without size issues. I've had some pretty hard landings with those retracts (even in the patriot) and never had any issues other then I've broke the nose wheel steering slid arm.

How's it goin' Diablo? My current Patriot still has the Hobbico retracts in it and they must be 7+ years old. I have only had 2 no-gear or partial gear incidences and it was my fault for not bending the gear back to "shape" before the next flight, so they got caught in the wells...

I really prefer Spring-Air's myself. ZERO problems with those...B&D made some slick units that were reasonably priced but I have only read about them on here, have not tried them.

Honestly, I would try a search on here and read up about the B&D's...Seems like they were only about $70 bucks (I think I remember that part)

Kee us posted kid!
