Default 46- 52 engines

in need of a new 46 - 52 engine. my buddies got their prop jets up and running and getting cocky thinking they are close to keep up with mine. and i just cant have that.. so i figure i really need to make it clear that im am their daddy =) whats a good choice? they are running 2 magnums 46 xls with macs pipes and a OS 46 fx. think its a rossi pipe. but not totally sure. i know a jett will work. but i cant see putting that into 1 of my f-20s i got for 80 bucks at hobby people lol

Jett FIRE 60LX, comes packed into a 46 size crankcase and mine turns a 8.8x9 APC pylon prop at 21 grand static, not only does it get everyones attention down the flight line when you fire it up, it makes mouths drop when you do a high speed pass a few feet off the deck. the guy i got this one from has another one with a Rossi turning a 7x8 @ 28 grand but mine kills his in power (ease of hand launch) and has about 15mph more top end speed.

Jon:

Aw, come one!!!! You are going to spend the $225.00 for the Rossie and then find out the guys are still closing in. Go ahead and spend the little extra money and go for the Jett 60 LX. You can fly around at 1/2 throttle until you need a little more, and its there!!!! I know its nasty to rule this way, but still, nasty is good (bad). Mine is now breaking in with a break in prop at 17,800 and still rich. Is it worth it, oh yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ENJOY

I would check with Dubb on his "hangar sale" specials. He often has sport jetts available at a nice discount.

any sport jett (.40, .46, .50) will haul that plane around and smoke the locals.

Buy another carb. Every Rossi .40 I had the carburettor innards fell out. The junk muffler fell apart as well but I guess that is not an issue.
