scratch built delta
hey.
i am thinking of building my own delta. i got some plans off the internet for building a hot wire cutter. i was thinking of making the wings out of foam and sheeting them with 1/16" balsa then fiberglassing the whole thing to stiffen it up. i am going to put a os .61 in it. i was thinking of making the wing around 1.75" in the center just so i can get the servos in and reciver and battery then making it around 1" thick out about 2" from the center and then just having a thin wing going out. does anyone have any advice on a design. i want this thing to go like a bat out of hell. if anyone has any plans that they could put on that would be even better.

scratch built delta
Sounds like the kinda thing i wanted to do with the second version of my own design delta which can be seen on my site on the Own Designs page, i just never got round to it. The low drag fuz going to a even lower drag wing rather than just taper to the tip is a great idea and actually looks good too
Good luck
