Default OS25 prop

We are doing alittle sport racing at the club i belong to I got a Q500 with a OS25 i know its small but for the older guys we didnt want them as fast .What would be a good prop for this motor? Highest rpm i got out of it was 13,500 with a apc 8x8 is that about all im going to get?

Thats about all you can/should expect unless you put a pipe on it. Jett makes one for about $50. Most of the .25 size racing I am aware of specifies the prop too.

I've found that since you are doing turns, accelerating, turning, etc.... It's best to get a prop that will do both top speed and turning. Get a few props and test them on the course... You might fing a 8X7 or a 9X6 better, maybe even a 10X5... you won't know until you try them and get some lap times...

APC 7.8x6 was the fastest prop we found (16k+)

Try the different props. Differences in elevation, temp, fuel types, and flying style will call for different props.

Thanks guy i tryed a 8x6 apc and was getting 15,600 out of it oh by the way it the 25 fx ..
