Default October! On The Lake! That Means You!

Last I checked October was the time for the Fall "REVVER FEST"!

Someone set a date!

With all this "Drama" of colors and propulsion variations may I submit we get together and settle it over a:

"Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight" "Drink and a Flight"

I know Razor, Flyboy Dave, KMOT, Troy, Vicman and all the other revver's would approve![sm=thumbup.gif]

What say you?

Well, I've got a commitment at Parker, AZ on the LAST weekend of October which is 26,27,28th with a very noisy and new Pitts Special.

I've also got a commitment at Hemet, Ca on October 12,13,14 with a 1/2 Scale Farman Moustique.

That leaves the 20th and 21st a really good day for test flying the fastest airplanes in the west.

I WILL be there!

The 20th and the 21st of October seems to be the "Ticket"!

I'm like KMOT so I have to plan to not be there on the 20th and the 21st so I can make it!

I'm so screwed up

I assume we are talking about Rabbit Lake. Just for info, Oct 5,6&7 is the Flying Cirkus Rabbit bash. 20 & 21 looks good to me.

A good bunch of guys who fly large scale 3D like there is no tomorrow. If you want to see some incredible hucking, You don't want to miss that weekend.

Oh.

Well, the so called "3D" flying is of no interest to me so I won't miss anything.

BTW, don't all aircraft fly in three dimesnions?

I said "If you want to see some incredible hucking". If it doesn't interest you that's OK. I was actually just pointing out that the Cirkus folks would be there in force on those days so that would probably not be the best weekend to plan for a Revver Bothers meet.

As to your 3D question, I'll assume you aren't really looking for an answer but rather, trying to make a point. So be it.

Blessings, Terry

LOL Dan

I couldn't help notice your avatar as I read this. A guy on a Unicycle flying a Jack-O-Lantern.

I got a good belly chuckle out of that one.

Oct. 20-21st are the dates of the USA try outs for F5D so may not be in the desert but rather at the beach in SD...

Tom, you have to be careful with Still4given, he is a bit sensitive in here....seemed like an alright guy tho-

Yeah, 3D takes tons of skill but it is silly in my opinion...Those guys are amazing but it is blasphemous to the sport almost in my opinion, kinda like Mixed Martial Arts is to REAL martial arts.

It's just one man's opinion. Take it or leave it.

As for flying so called "3D", I am sure it takes tremendous skill and practice.

As a spectator, I find it to be immensely boring. So it has never appealed to me enough to try it. As someone said, "take it or leave it." I will leave it, thank you very much.

Flying inverted, inches off the ground, at 100+ mph I find to be much more satisfying. Same with doing a split-s at altitude, diving almost vertical and pulling out as close to the ground as you can without splattering your plane all over the place. Much more interesting to watch then a big noisy weed whacker sounding airplane hanging on the thrust of the prop and blowing smoke all over the area.

Like I said, it's just an opinion.

Oh, and as for being nice guys and gals, well thankfully it seems most people in the hobby are indeed nice guys and gals.

How funny,

Was I the one who was called sensitive? All I did was let folks know that the Flying Cirkus were holding their bash on the 5th, 6th & 7th at Rabbit. I believe Kmot asked me what the Cirkus was about and I answered him. I'm not advocating any one part of the hobby. I try and embrace all aspects of it. I don't find any of it boring if it is done with excellence. Our club is holding an RCPRO Warbird race on Saturday and we are having a blast with that as well. It seems I touched a nerve with some folks here. If that's true I am sorry.
It was never my intension.

Blessings, Terry
