Thx guys- yeah I have missed so much work that I am contemplating selling off my RC stuff to keep afloat--- [X(]

I went to urgent care Monday and they hooked me up to an iv, low white blood cell count, infection, dehydration--- liver function tests etc. They have no idea what is going on- The kidney stones I can deal with I am an expert now it is the other stuff that worries me-

And YES Kidney stones are the most painful thing I have ever endured and I have passed several now-

Anybody interested in a 2x2 CA Models Eclipse with a YS-140L, Hyde mount, NMP Header, Hatori 698 pipe and Hitec digitals?

I'm taking a medication (probenecid) for my gout (which is also very painful) and the main side effect is possible kidney stones.

It's like pick ur disease: GOUT or KIDNEY STONES

So many people I know (including Razor) say kidney stones r the most painful thing they have ever gone through. [][:'(][:@]

Drink cranberry juice to help prevent forming new kidney stones. That is what my doctor told me when I had them 30 years ago.

Razor, do your homework on the internet for dietary advice. MDs sometimes don't go into enough detail. I recommend the book, Prescription for Nutritional Healing by James F. Balch, MD & Phyllis A. Balch, CNC. by AVERY Publishing. It is an encyclopedia of good advice. Get better dude.

from what I hear, its the male version of giving birth....... [:@]
Exactly, I went through that 2 years ago. Nurses who were their and had kids and stones in the their past compared the pain as the same. One morning I got up at 6am, went to the bathroom (as usual), Made something to eat and drink and sat down to watch the news. By 7:30 I was in the hospital emergency room. Wife, EMTs, and me thought I was having a damn heart attack. Rolling on the floor, crying whining.

Gave me drugs so I could lay still to get an MRI and mine was a small one!!. With these things your *&^%if you do and *&^%if you don't. The pain comes from the stone traveling through the urethea (sp) at a snails pace. When it stops for a bit, no pain. Now they tell you to drink water their in the emergency room. If you drink the water, it pushes the stone and pain, if you don't drin, no pain. So we have a dilemma here.

I stayed therr for about 6 hours and nothing, so the sent me home with some drugs to pass it. That did not happen until the following morning. As soon as I did, I was fine-----So I thought

I was great ,like it never happened. So we went out and did some errands and about noon we were in Costco getting something to eat. sat down, didn't feel good. I said lets go home quick and started all over again. Called the hospital on it. The stone tears up the tube as it travels through. So after you pass the stone, your now passing all the debris it left behind. So that took the rest of the day. I was one tired puppy after all this.

My stone passing episode lasted for about a week. Back then, they didn't have ultrasound to bust them up. Either you passed them, or if they got stuck they had to perform surgery, which IIRC was cutting open your back and going into the kydneys that way.

My 'experience' felt exactly like this:

1) Someone had hit me in the lower back, full swing, with a baseball bat.
2) Someone was squeezing my cajones as hard as physically possible.
3) My pecker felt like it was on fire.

All this was happening at the same time, together.

Yeah, it hurt........

I hope your 'episode' is over with James!

Mr Johnson never gave me any problems at all, just everything up to that point. Your describing the pain exactly. They didn't break mine up, said it was a small one. man,I'd hate to feel a big one.

The pain is when it passes through the Ureter, by the time it gets "up front" the pain is usually "mostly" gone. I have had several the last one was about as big as I can pass they think.

Still no real treatment, just pain meds.... I had some associated issues like dehydration, urinary tract infection and fever and vomiting after the last one.

I feel great now, but I have more stones on the way it sounds like.

CHeers everybody-
