Revver #4 vs #5 Saturday
After much talk over the last couple of years Flyboy dave and I have decided to go heads up with our favorite prop-jets. I DO believe he gets over 18K with his Piped Rossi-45, I DO believe he "thinks" MA props. are the way to go, and I DO believe his skinny racing wheels are ALMOST as good as having retracts but it is time to put our money where our mouth is-
We both swear we can take the other guy down but the fews times I have flown with him, we have not had these 2 planes out there at the same time- (Co-incidence?)
I offered pink slip for pink slip, but we'll have to see if we are THAT crazy!
SO it is Patriot vs F-20, APC vs MA, Futaba vs Futaba? Rossi vs Jett---
Here is my set-up:
Patriot-40, Jett-50 (Re-built) on a 9x8 APC, Retracts, Nelson plug, 15% nitro-
I think dave runs a DC F-20, Full Piped Rossi-45, an fixed gear with racing wheels can't remember the rest---
Can age, treachery, engine savvy and skinny wheels (dave) prevail over youth, arrogance, and an improperly set low-end (Me)?
Cheers and let the chips fall where they may-

Here is a pic to hopefully intimidate my opponent- (And yes I know that is an OS-50SX, this Patriot is now sporting my Jett-50) You get the idea-
Thoughts anyone?
Dave, your retort?

Saturday at high noon it is....
I've been waiting a long time to pounce on Razor's overweight Patriot with the
screaming Rossi powered F-20....heh heh heh, now's my chance to blow that
thing in the weeds once and for all.
Treachery will prevail again....over skill. (and false hope)
The Rossi lurks....[8D]

Razor, if the 9x8 doesn't do the trick, smoke him with a 10x7, definately one of those gray guys.
Another prop worth trying is the 9.5 x 7.5 NN works pretty good on the Jett .50.

My last Jett-50 ran best on a 9x9--
This Jett-50 I bought used and it was fried- I had it rebuilt so we'll see how she does---

Judging from the looks of those planes, you guys should have a great time! I've never had much luck with flying start drag races, there always seems to be a dispute about the start. Gotta get the audio tach program going to really see what's going on out there. Don't one of you guys have access to a radar gun? If not, just buy a box of donuts and lure a cop out there to do the timing.

Tim- I am just shooting up there Saturday- Can you come by? It'd be good to see you again---
Combatpigg- No radar here.... It should be obvious when it happens though
Crazy- Good bet!
The quinella is paying 2.5 to 1
The Jett combo. is a 5/3 favorite so far---
Dave must be in his shop putting some head shims on the Italian stallion [X(]

I'm going for the Rossi, only if it's not being used with a MAS [:'(]

is turning 18,100 on the ground, and over 20K on the pipe....too much for the MAS.
