Throw away your radar gun!!!
I couldn't find the old thread about this 'fairly' new item called the "How Fast" air speed instrument. My buddy Bret did some back to back testing with a very popular and widely used radar gun for model stuff (Stalker Pro) and got some inspiring results. This was used on a VERY small electric pylon plane so your average sized model or even something on the smaller side should be able to accommodate this device. http://www.wingedshadow.com/howfast.html

The downloader basically reads the 'morse code' it blinks off after a flight. I have heard it is kinda a PITA without the reader but it does give you the accurate reading.

I can't take credit for the video. My buddy Bret did this on his own. He just used me as technical support on getting it uploaded... I charge reasonable rates and speak English

Looks pretty nice the only down side to it might be that once some one uses it and see's how slow there plane really is they will blame it because how heavy it is.
