Default RE: Weston UK Magnum electric conversion ??

There was a thread not long ago about a claimed 200 mph + Magnum with a $1000 electric setup. There was a video of a vertical (standing on its tail) takeoff and high speed passes. Can't seem to find it now though but I have the video on my hard drive. So the answer is yes and maybe someone has a link to the particulars.

Edit - Found the thread

look at the Magnum ad it has a pic of the electric version. Eflite 25 and a 3 cell Lipo did 80 on a radar gun with a folding 12 in prop. Imagine a 46 or 60 engine? I saw videos of it flying and it was moving at 80 mph for real.

I could not justify spend $500 on a motor controller 8-10 cell lipo and charger when I have a Jett .60LX.

Heres a great video of a guy that converted a Q40 to electric. He's doing just over 200mph. I think he was getting over 5 min of runtime too.
