Default tomahawk 50 size prop jet, retract ready?

have any of you guys had any experience with this plane http://www.vqmodel.com/MateriePrime/...wk/tomhawk.htm ive just ordered one as they look quite good and were also reasonable at $235au. im planing on putting hs85s in the wing robart mechanical retracts in, an os46fx on a macs full length pipe. i concidered the pheonix f20 but didnt want to have to try and fit retracts to it. any coments would be appreciated.
Cheers greg

Looks great but the 46FX is not going to pull that very hard based on the size and AUW (weight). It says 40-60? I would recommend going with something bigger-

$$$ Jett 60LX or Jett-90

$$ Rossi-60

$ OS-61FX

Here is a picture of mine from my own plans. The wingspan is similar and mine weighs about 6lbs. Im using a TT pro.46 for power and it seems to do very well with it. Your model should be ok with the .46 if it doesnt come out too heavy.

Thanks... I have plans for it but no canopies. Im currently looking to see if I can get some more made. My model wasthe prototype so I went with fixed gear to keep the weight down...Im sure the airframe could be modified someway to fit retracts however the nose area is pretty tight as far as available space goes...Ive got more photos for the hawk and other propjets Ive designed on my website...

Isaac,
A guy down in Texas is the importer. Try him at: [email protected]

Incidentally, its still shown on the VQ Factory website, but not on his.

Its' available down under for around US$190-$200. Should be cheaper in the USA.
