Default Mecoa .46 vs. OS .45FSR

I’ve been running a Mecoa .46 with a mousse can muffler and an APC 9x7 on a scratch built delta. The Mecoa was turning a little over 15K rpm on the ground. Anyhow, a fellow club member gave me an OS .45FSR that he hasn’t used in a long time. How would this compare to my Mecoa? The Mecoa hasn’t been running properly lately either. I think the piston and/or liner is damaged. Is the mounting pattern the same on both engines? What about top end speed? How do they compare? Thanks.

The OS .45 was a good motor for it's day. The Mecoa is an OK motor for it's day. The Mecoa is a slightly better motor than the OS .45. In good shape you'll like it thogh it has slightly less HP.

They should be very close in performance. I have a 45 FSR, but I never tached it.
