Default HELLO CERMARK ARE YOU LISTENING

Well my first front retract trunion pin came out,I was able to land ok,They were nice enough to send me another new one for free.I installed the new one and on my THIRD landing guess what the F*&%$#G pin came out AGAIN this time the landing was not so nice.I broke off both missile rails after it dug in the ground! How about sending at least 5 retracts so that I can get a full day of flying in?

Come on Cermark you have great planes now get the retracts as good.

Sounds to me like you need to invest in some loc-tite like many of us have.
Unfortunately, its just the nature of the beast. Lots of vibration and grimlins to loosen your fasteners.

The missle rails are weak thou. I had to remake mine after I bumped one in the hangar.
So I just upgraded the material and made the rails look more scale.

Hope you get it worked out.

I had a Cermark F-16 first generation. Nose retract wanted to fold over and put the pro into the ground durring taxi turning. Just too weak.

I would be too if It happened to me.. If you pay $400 for a plane with retracts you would think that the retracts would be the same
quality as the plane. Cermark makes a good quality plane. but the retracts with out a doubt need a little bit more work.
just my $.02 worth.

$400 is really cheap for what you get, or don't get. I think that people need to realise how cheap Cermark is selling these for and unfortunately to get it that cheap there are downsides. If you don't think so just price some decent springairs or robarts to replace the retracts that come in the F-16 and F-18. Can they do better, yes, but are you wiling to pay $900 for one to get better retracts, a good air valve, and sturdier sub frame in the plane or will you suck it up and fix it yourself and move on?

Interesting. I didnt realize that the pin was pressed in. I thought the trunion pin and bushings were captured between the gear rails requiring the assembly to be unscrewed to get the pin out.
Either way it sucks that some of the gear assemblies are failing and causing damage to otherwise capable aircraft.
Guess thats something else we can try to look out for??
Cheers.

i happened to buy an arf warbird (85" ws) that came with 'retracts', at the same time i had ordered spring air retracts for another project. A quick glance at the 2 sets told me there was no way i was going to use the arf retracts ever. of course i was going to beef up the suspension of the arf and recover anyway, might as well throw in some decent retracts.

I have the first generation f-16. It came w/o retracts, i bought Robarts. They should sell WITHOUT retracts (keep them as option if someone wants to buy them)

It's just Cermark is asking for "bad revues" supplying cheap retracts with a good plane. NOT good business strategy (i think)

I spoke to Steve last night and he said they would send out another retract to me at least they are doing the right thing in my opion. But all in all the retract should stay together, the way it landed and dug in it could have broken a wing or two, then I would have been really pissed then.As I have allways said in the past they make some really good looking and flying planes they might not be PATTERN ships but they do fly pretty darn good!I cant wait for the F-15,no I mean I hope they are thinking of coming out with an F-15.I hope that the proto type flew real good, no I ment if there was a proto type and it did fly I hope it flew good.
