Has anyone made a speed plane out of one of these? Apparently, they have a .40 size as well as the 120 size.

Have seen only one in our local club, 40 size with a pooped out 46. Flown by a average - pilot and builder. It flew well, was faster than most, quick for its wing span and weight. You should be able to find some build/fly threads on this. The thing should scoot with say a OS 90 VRDF, don't have any idea if it will stay together at higher speeds, 100 +++. For any real chance of being fast, the gear must go up. Bro 119.

Just got done with a AK 52 blue. It took 1lb 9oz. in the nose to cg with a 50 enya so I went with a OS 75 and a homemade engine mount, We'll see. Fly it tomarrow.

The great plane 60 sized Lancair really moves with a YS 91. It also lands nice with the flaps down.
