Default Break In Prop for ST45?

What would be considered a light load break in prop for a ST45 ABC running the stock muffler? APC 10x6, 9x7, something else? I have several 10x6's so that would be convenient if it works well.

Thanks,
Mark

The 10x6 or 9x7 will be fine. What ever ya have laying around. Its hard to goof up.

If by chance you have a 9x6 --- that would be prefered.
What I might suggest.... if you have a used 10x6 (or do not mine using a new one), start with that .... but clip it to about 8.5" diameter (balance it of course).

Take the engine up to about 15,500 rpm. With the light prop, it should get their fairly easily while still being just a bit rich. If there is pleanty of margin on the needle, take it up over 16,000 on a couple of subsequent runs.

Once you have a little time on the engine with the light prop... put on the full bladed 10x6 and see where things stand as a baseline.

Hey Bob,

I have a batch of props on order right now that includes a 9x6 or two. I will throw one of those on for the first few runs, then step to the 10x6.

Thanks,
Mark

I was going to suggest a 8x6, some extra castor and run it at a rich scream until the exhaust oil is perfectly clear on the "white glove inspection"......but then I had second thoughts
