You gotta break in that thing with TLC and at least a gallon before you add the 10 X 10 apc. Gotta have a JettStream muffler, or sim. Nelson. Raced one all last year with super success. Always the fastest thing out there. I honestly did not tack it all year, I want that special sound this thing puts out, dont care about the rpm, only the performance, and "Oh my god". Jett 60LX in Nephews bird, same as mine only with Webra. I can stay with him, no sweat, and foutunately outfox. EnJOY

A 10x9 is 40% more load on the engine then a 9x10.

My Webra never saw a 10" diameter prop and it won't. That's what my OS is for. For reference, the OS 55 AX & Ultrathrust turns an APC 10X10 @ 14000. I have not and will not achieve the success that rmenk has, (rmenk “Darn thing pulls a 10 X 10 over 17K”) as his Webra 55 turns a higher speed at 10" dia. than mine does at 9". My Webra and Jettstream turns an APC 9X10 @ 16,200 to 16,500 depending on the weather. I run 10% fuel instead of 15%, the Viper is visibly faster and the element in the plug doesn’t get mangled.

Joe, What plane are you going to hang the Webra on ?

I would break-in the engine on one of your cool engine test stands you make with a 10X6 or 9X8 prop on 10%. Add a tablespoon of caster oil for a 8oz tank. About 3 tanks should do it. Let it cool down completely between runs. Don't let it run too rich! Let it scream about 600 rpm off peak, slightly rich two stroke. Before you start it, put about 4 drops of fuel in the glow plug hole, put the plug back in and turn it over by hand a few times. On new squeaky tight engines on cold days I like to turn the piston to the bottom of the stroke and warm the head (carefully) with few passes of a propane torch just before I start it (first run only).

Too rich (cold) and you hurt the connecting rod. Too lean and you hurt the piston (the pinch at the top of stroke goes away). While it's running, if you can hold your fingers on the head for more than a 3 seconds it's too rich. I guess it depends how tuff your skin is
