Default Another Patriot

We'll finally done I picked up a used Patriot stripped it recovered it strenghted up gear blocks Installed Spring air retracts.And for power a Jett 60 LX.I put a 16 oz tank in it,the motor has one tank through it and it ran as expected.With a 9-8 still rich at 18,000 the transtion all ready not even a hickup.It came out at 7lbs.It should fly some time this week.Watch out Mark5 Iz coming after you

That is a good idea to add just a tad of elevator. The Patriot needs just a tad more elevator as it sure want to fall once the speeds get low unless a lot of elevator is applied.

We'll I Put a flight and a 1/2 on it.The retracts would not go up while flying but on the ground everytime.It was 13 deg out,so I did not bother with them.On the second flight we tried the radar gun and would you believe220 mph!OK maybe not,We clocked 98mph.While flying the nose cone came off and broke the prop the plane seemed ok so I stayed up when I was coming in for the landing the motor stalled and I guess the bigger elevator worked the plane glided in real nice with plenty of elevator controll.I landed one sod field over from ours and a good landing.The prop was now a 6-9 on one side.So I am hoping for more speed with a better prop.
