Knot,

You are a terrible person and you know it! Mine should be shipped in the next day or so.

Have you run one yet? What kind of numbers did it make?

I understand that problem, Dave. I had no intention of buying another engine when I got up this morning. I am thinking mine will go into an old time ballistic pattern plane depending on exactly how highly tuned it is. If it is truly a highly strung speed engine, I will find another airframe for it, but if it is like the old time 60 sized screamers from the late 70's it should be perfect. I have a Brushfire kit on the way that would like a screaming 60 and I have plans for a number of other ballistic ships as well...Hmmm, decisions, decision.

A ballistic pattern plane sounds like a good idea, but I was thinking about my $100 / 200 mph speed plane project. With the price of this motor, I may be able to make the budget with the price of the motor included

I have no idea what this motor is capable of, but, it looks like a neat motor, and the price is right.

Fella's, I have no clue. I just know I saw it, it looked cool, and the price was killer. The extra spare parts turned out to be a bonus!

How bad could it be? I mean come on, if you can believe what MDS says on its website these motors were designed and mfg's by out of work Soyuz Space Program engineers. I figure anything designed in Russia has got to be better than some of the stuff designed in China. Ever seen a Mig 29?

No problem, I was just curious. At that price it was worth a shot. I guess I will see whan the box gets here. Any thoughts on a pipe for it? I am thinking a Mac's pipe if all esle fails.

It looks like either a MAC's or Rossi pipe would work. Might have to change the header adapter to an exteranl o-ring type.

I tore the engine apart. Go to the thread linked in Post #1 to see it.

Tom,

When do you plan to run yours? I am snow bound for a while yet and it will be a couple months at best before I can get around to running engines.
