RE: Playing with photshop, etc.
Guys:
Give a poor old man a break. Of course the foam is limp, but then so am I. Sad part is I don't care. My lifes unfulflled ambitions
remain:
1. Beat Dave in a heads up fair start .58 lap race. (SOB) can even paint well)
2. Get CP to agree on just how fast it really is.
3. Sneak into Vicman's shop and reverse one channel on each of his airplanes. he he he
Well, back to trying to do the impossible, upload pics into this forum. Maby I had better get rid of a few of my photo editing programs. Could Photoshop and Picassa and HP photosmart conflict? Can't seem to get by "Brousing". ENJOY

Yea, was her prior to the HD switch (Cermark) turned her into a gopher killer. Same thing happened to Yellow Jacked II, verson one. Yep, bought a bunch of new so called bullet proof switches. If they have a high failure rate, will see if the manfacturers are in fact bullet proof. Club race committee had a fit with the Zoomer, wanted to call it a race plane similar to QM-2, which it is not. Soooo, went from a Jett 50 powered Zoomer to home brew YJ II with Jett 60 LX. YJ II is actually a bunch faster, but I think more due to the 60LX power than airframe. Sometimes its nice to be the committee chairman?? ENJOY

RE: Playing with photshop, etc.
This is Rogers thread, doesn't really matter
The only switch that I am completely comfortable with is the JR Heavy Duty Gold switch at about $15.
I've had switches from just about every other brand fail, and I normally fly Futaba stuff.

Stick:
Stick it!!! Just kidding. Have been promising to post some pictures on shop remodel and some projects for over 6 months. Have nice camera and good computer, no knowledge or training of and on computers. So, it is hunt and peck and play with the 5 million various ways to post pictures until you (me) stumbles over one way to get them posted. Yes, have had several step by step instruction sheets from the net geeks nice enough to try to help, but none worked until recently. Everyone expects picture posting to be a simple process, so simple very little direction on it. Have Picasa 2 working well and will keep it for ease of use. Adobe Photo Delux, Adobe Photoshop, Eash Photo Editor and HP Photosmart are all in this HP Media Center, and have pictures scattered about. Natually I gotta play until I get them going, or deleated. You get the picture?
Picture is of the original "Yellow Jacket" Jett 35 powered. Airplane is famous simply because Dave Norman would not agree to fly against it. Not tht he counts either, but you gotta love the guy regardless of your sexual prfferences. Mechanic shown, Peppy, is now in his 17th year of loyal outstanding work. Some day will buy a vid camera so you can see how he starts the engine prior to a race, a real tail flicker. EnJOY

Dave:
Thanks for the tip. For what its worth, several years ago one of my put-puts went in, diagnosis of the deceased was clearly from JR HD switch with charge jack type. Threw it in the junk pile to scrounge plugs from if ever needed. Did same with the Cermark same type switch. I pulled the backs off both because they looked identical. On the inside they also looked identical. I wonder if----------------naw.

Switches......if you can't trust JR HD what can you trust? I like the idea of the switch being mounted on a cushioned servo tray and just use a string that ties to the switch lever to pull the switch either on or off, instead of using a chunk of wire to move the switch.
Roger, your fellow club flyers should be ashamed to pick on your Zoomer. Good to hear that you smoked them anyway with your home built. Don't forget to let them win occasionally.
Your plane is looking good, that's my favorite color, "Victory Red".

Grey Butt:
You old SOB. They ran you out of Mariposa County, outran you so bad in Merced County (me) you never show your face, now reside in Nevada where even the Maffia is welcome, and now from 600 miles distantance, accuse me of buying a few trophies. After a mother-in law, 1 ex wife, only about 1/3 survive. Almost said "honestly won", but being the tretcherous type my entire life that may be carrying the truth a little far. Would I let a little air out of your tires, tweek your needle valve ect? No, never while you are watching!!!! There are no drag racing cars and boats or sport car racing trophies left. The center large one is go-carts-West Coast Championship 1989, the plack on the right 1985 Oldtimmers "World" championships at Mammouth, the picture taken by a friend in 84, the first time I finally beat Dick Mann (one of the few times). With all the time, money, and pain from broken bones invested in our wonderfull racing through the years, dont gotta buy nothing to show off. Sorry that stuff got into a background. Just cause the focus is there-----Ok, never got to Dave Norman, but with life there is hope (very little). Got Fred Burgdorf last week. He was walking down the street, me in my car. he he Gimme a hugg.

You are going in the right direction for sure. To bad someone has not produced a good switch that is rubber isolated. I have used servo mount gromments at each end of the switch, but drilled a fine hole in the switch itself for a light fine wire. Of course the wire transfers unwanted vibration directly to the switch. May give up and try your string thing. Keep on rigging right, maby we will come up with something good. ENJOY Bro 119
