Default What retracts to use in an Enforcer?

I am getting ready to build a Balsa USA Enforcer and want some ideas on what kind of retract system to put in it. This will be my first Enforcer and my first retract equiped aircraft, and I have seen a lot of guys having trouble with retract systems at the field. So any advice would also be appreciated.

Chris,
I just equipped a Patriot XL (60 sized plane) with some Spring Air retracts. They have been extremly easy to set up and are very robust. I purchased mine used online for $70 (included pump and valve). I'd highly recommend buying these.

Thanks for the info, the 100 series looks good for what i'm needing. Are Spring Air and Robart air/up, spring/down about the same quality?

I also have a pair of spring air retracts on my B-25. The 101 hd. The B-25 is 13 lbs. Have been very happy with the retracts. I would recommended the same

I can't say one way or the other about the robart...I have no experience with them.

The Spring Air ones are air up / spring down tho.

Nice Patriot XL, first off [)]

Spring-Air are HIGH quality but more expensive. Robart now makes the "Air-Up" like Spring Air meaning if you get a leak or run out of air they lock down automatically (the air makes them go up!). In the old days the Robarts were spring down, meaning if you did not have enough air or a leak then No gear comes down...LOL

Are you doing a DF Enforcer or traditional?
