Well, I hope to fly her soon, but until then, I thought I'd post some pics of my Magnum. The big black blotches were something I never liked on the Magnum, so I decided to change it, here's what mine looks like now

looks smart, but i wouldnt want to fly it, you NEED those large black areas when you've turned over in the bank and head back down, cant see the yellow plane!
nice simple tirm tho, reminds me of one of the older kit Magnums

I don't think I'll have to much of a problem, I've gotten used to flying things that are tough to see, I once built a wonder and covered it identical top and bottom, mostly black :S not a smart choice really, but I never lost orientation, one thing I learned flying pattern, you can't judge orientation solely on visual, you have to know what you did last and what attitude you're in, or you're sunk. My first Ducted Fan was all the same color all around it too. If I can't see it well enough after the first couple flights, I'll change it again

you have to know what you did last and what attitude you're in
i been flying long enough to know that but watching a 200mph vague shape yellow thing even with the black parts disappear from you at certain angles is very disconcerting, mostly in the climb over the top of the U and pulling out at the bottom

I'm certainly not going to argue that with you dude! hehehe. Like I say, if I can't see it well after the first couple flights, it'll get a new scheme again

I replaced the covering on my wing with fluorescent yellow Monokote.. That did wonders for the visibility...

Great job Jeremy, I found my covering had the auto remove feature pre-installed (mid flight of course) so now I have something that looks like it's from the trash and will be ordering a new Magnum for this season...

if so what manufacturer/code etc?

Gricey,
I don't know about as an iron on, but I know it's available as a self adhesive sign vinyl, the carbon fiber look. And that stuff won't come off on you in mid flight
