Buy it now for $40 and $40 for shipping. $80 for a plane is not bad. To bad that these planes have a very short experation date on them! I cant believe that it costs that much to ship out of MA??

the high shipping offsets low sale price since ebarf sale fees are based on selling price.

BTW the are the first version not the R and they do not have the Weston .50 engines.

I still have to say that $80 for one of these is a great price.

For you RC universe guys I will give a discount of $5 per plane off shipping. The shipping is a flat cost. I have a lot of them to sell off. Email me direct and mention RC Universe [email protected]. The shipping is also handling ( the repacking, boxing, add manual, print labels, track the sale and package, also haul it for pick up. It doesn't move from the shelf to the post office by magic. The planes sell for over $100 + shipping usually. If you do some of the auctions the price was starting lower but to get it right now the buy it now is a premium.

I bought one too, my first real high speed plane. Now I need to see if my Irvine 46 is enough or do I need more?

We clocked mine at 151 mph using WaveOsScope Doppler analysis software. I was using a Jett .50, Super Sport Muffler, and APC 8.75X9W, 15% Omega fuel. You would probably get similar performance with the West .50V1 and tuned pipe set-up. The manufacturer's claim of 200 mph is unrealistic; maybe straight down in a terminal dive, but not in straight and level flight.

I posted a video of mine a while back on rcuvideos.com at http://www.rcuvideos.com/item/QL4B91...#theater_title

Sadly, that one has departed this world, but I have another one on the way now .

60LX is the same case as the 50 it will fit fine

get a square battery pack.... put it under the turtle deck as far bac as you can.

then you won't need tail weight

Is this thing strong enough to handle a Nelson Q40?
I bought one a few days ago...(wish I woulda read this thread beforehand, I coulda saved 5 bucks ) it oughta be here soon.
I plan on doing a few mods to strengthen it without adding too much wt.
JR DS821 servos should be o.k. huh?

The magnum R is the second generation. But I nnever got one, I dont know if the R ever made it to America.

One layer of wing sadle foam tape should fill the gap.

Nelson 40 is a great choice. There was a Magnum-Nelson at my home field and it kicked butt.

It is best to beef up the firewall and wing mounts when intalling any high performance motor.

I was thinking the same thing with the foam tape.It looks like that is all that is needed to
fill the gap. Jett 60LX it is. Now all I need is the time to build it and I will be ok!

Well, I too bought one off of eBay and I have to say that it looks pretty good, even the covering looks like it was put on by someone who has a clue. I picked up an older Picco 45 with pipe for $40 at the LHS that someone had up there on consignment. For $40 it is worth a shot...

Anyway, what kind of torque should I be loking for out of my servo's? The control surfaces harly have to move so there should be pretty good mechanical leverage, but I do not want to put in too little and plant it. Any suggestions? Also are there any tips or tricks that I should know/look out for?

Thanks!
