Default BTE Delta Vortex and Jett 90L question

Hey all,

Just finishing up the final hookups on my BTE Vortex with retracts. I know it isnt meant for speed with the thick wing but I thought this section of RCU could best tell me what size prop the Jett90L likes for speed. I am sure this plane will hit a wall on top speed but I would at least like to try to find what the wall is .

Thanks

Mine is only moderately quick with my setup- fixed gear and OS .91FX.

I am running an APC 13x8. The airframe seems to like that combination, but I am planning to try an APC 12x10 next time I get to the hobby shop.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. Think I have a 11x8 and a 12x7 in the prop box so might try those to see what happens.

That Jett 90L is worlds away from the low power and rpm OS one of the guys is making a compairison with. Stay with the recommended apc 11X8 and maby 11 X 9 if the airframe is clean, should be with retracts, but fat airfoil. It it still unloads about the same in flight, should be fine. It will pull the prop, no problem, just don't want overheating and the recommended 11 X 8 is about right on for the Alley Cat and Little Tony typs the prop recommendation was made for. Both are draggy airframes to a point, the 90L does power them right along, but not anything in the fast fast column, great sport flyers that can teach you a lot. ENJOY
