Default Jett "Black Widow"?

I recently obtained at an auction what was claimed to be a special prototype 1.20 size "speed" engine called the Black Widow made by Jett. Supposedly only made a couple of them. Supposedly was too much of a 'beast' for the average modeler so it never made it to production. It is all black with some polished bits. Supposed to be a 20K motor with a 11x10 or something. It has a stange round 'tuned pipe'.

Anyone else heard of this thing?

The pipe is a turbo muffler. Jett still makes those.

When I get big I want to have one of those....[sm=devious.gif]

That can't be paint, It's got to be Super Light Ablator.

The coating burns but it doesn't transfer any heat as it enters the the atmosphere. There is no way any other coating could withstand Mach 16 speeds.

I don't remember 100%, but I had a Jett that was black with a polished head once too, it was either a quickie motor or a Q40 motor. I remember it was in a nice black velvet bag that said "Jett" on the bag. Be interesting to find out about

I KNOW that's a lie, if Jett was building engines for Victory motorcycles they might actually have a motorcycle that ran without issue after issue. Biggest POS bikes I've ever had to work on.....

Hasn't helped their quality issues yet.

Hey Bob, got any pictures of the airframe for that solid model you showed us?

Okay fella's, as most of you have probably guessed by now it was just a ruse. Just me having a little fun.

It is an everyday Jett Sport 120 that I did my customizing treatment too.

daven: The needle has been replaced by a screw, in order to use the Jett remote needle valve.

I like the way it looks. How did you do the coloring, and does it not burn off when the engine is run?

I feel good that lowly me sniffed a "ruse" (is that how the spell con in CA?) from the start.

Tom, you really ought to fly more, you wouldn't have time for tricks like this.

L. Duck: It is Dupli-Color ceramic engine paint. This stuff does not burn off.

Bob was in cahoots, so don't be too rough on him.

Ya know, that CAD engine would be a wicked setup as a direct drive motor in a tether car.
