How about a .40 size mustang? Not a real screamer, but you could put the .55's torque abilities to use with a larger prop on that airframe.

Only around 90?...best I've got with my Bobcat and OS55 with stock pipe is 115.5..... Here's a recorded speed of [link=http://www.cvrcclubvideos.us/Howfast.wmv]109.4[/link]

Here is [link=http://www.cvrcclubvideos.us/Bobcat%20March%2018.wmv]video[/link] of it flying.
For 99 bucks it's a great home for that 55AX. (Of course,..retracts bring the cost up considerably)

Kyosho Kelly seems fairly nice - install with the OS55 was reported to be pretty straight forward.

Some of the .46 size warbirds are worth looking at too.

I think I got the LAST ssundowner 50 out there. Got it from hobbyzone I think. Horizon was already out. After I bought mine it was out of stock at hobby zone. The seem to stay out of stock for a while too. But it would have been a good home for it.

Check out Fly boy models Sr-71. Just put one together and she is light slick and real fast with a HB 50. A 55AX should make it scream.

Oh... I have an OS 46 FX in my Ultra Sport 40 and I would LOVE a slightly larger engine..... It screams across the flying field and LOVE it when the knees start to shake and the sweat runs down the arms!!!!! She is insane!!!!

I built one of Laddie Mikulasko's Arrows and put a 55AX on it with a an 11x7 three blade prop. It wails. Unlike anything else you'll ever fly.

If you run a 10x7, 3 blade Master Airscrew on that Arrrow it will leap out of the water and have more top speed. The 55 with stock muffler and baffle will be 11,700 and with the Ultrathrust should jump to 14,000 backed off 300 rpm rich.

These two blade props will be faster yet but slightly less punch than the the above prop.
11X6 APC will work well and an even better pick for the Arrow would be the Master Airscrew 11X7 (S-2 type).

I have no doubt all of that is true, but I like the 11x7 3B and the stock muffler as not only is the performance good, but the duration with a 10 oz tank is about 20-25 minutes if I don't ride the throttle too hard. Big consideration with a water bird.

I put my 55 in a Kaos with tuned pipe.

So far, the fastest it's been radared is 111 mph.

I've got a MagnumR on the way!
