Default Speed estimate for my CG Extra 300

Hi All,
I was hoping to get a speed estimate on my Carl Goldberg Extra300.
It's the .60 to .75 size. Built it 9 years ago. It weighs 10.5 lbs, has an OS 1.08 (2 stroke) engine and a 15x8 prop. http://www.carlgoldbergproducts.com/.../gbga0055.html

Can anyone say what speed it 'should' go full out?

edit: also a pitts style muffler

Mine was clocked at 65-70 via doppler with the same engine and a 16-6 APC prop. I installed a perry pump and would estimate another 5 mph.

80 would be real close with that prop combo

Hey gun that pump should only give your more if the carb "is" too big to draw fuel on its own or you open the carb up. i run pumps on all my 45 and planes if it will fit.

Sorry, but I forgot to mention that I have this style muffler on it also: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFH39&P=7

I guess I was way off on my speed estimates. I was thinking around 100 mph+

80. Sorrry, it's not a speed plane... You may get 90 full power in a dive but that would be a bad thing for this plane.

I put the pump on due to the Pitt's muffler and a leaning out problem, I never dopplered it after I insatlled it so it's just a guess if it's faster. It seemed that way to me but I could be wrong. My 1.08 is old and tired. I saw a guy get a new 1.08 on e-bay last week for $120.[X(]

Mike,
You might be able to get 100 out of it with a 14X12 or a 13X13 Might remove the wing in the process though.

those 108 are very strong engines do a little transfer work and raise the timing with a jett 120 muffler and have a screamer.

The problem is the old kit .60 E300 is not meant to go fast.

The trick to an inverted or side mounted 1.08 is to use a fresh OS F plug. The pump helps too... but the trick is the plug.
