Default ModelTech Funfighter with Jett .35 BSE?

Did the title get your attention! Well thats what im thinking about building. Has anybody tryed this plane out before. I have always loved the P-51 warbirds. This little plane is suppost to have a fairly thin wing and is set up for some kind of pylon racing. Im guessing warbird pylon racing. I wonder what kind of speeds I could see out of this little bird and a Jett .35 BSE. I know some of the LM1 planes with a Jett .35 where in the 180-190 mph range. I know this plane isnt going to go 180 but I wonder if 140+ would be possible? Im probley going to build it unless you guys talk me out of it. What do you think?

Heres the plane...

A club buddy has one with a os 32 in it. Flys well, fairly quick but nothing outstanding. The Jett 35 should be a great combo. I have a 5-6 year old 35 that still raced and still strong. Took the gang 4 years to come up with something to beat it. Now they have to try to catch the 60 LX, most being lapped once, several twice. He he he. ENJOY

with the 35 BSE it looks like it would go around 140 with gear down and stock config. I do see some flaws for speed though. I would make another stab before i put it together. chop the canopy down like the reno race planes. that big bubble canopy is costing you around 10 mph and the scoop is also taking 10 mph out of the plane. If you not going to run the retract then use some race wheels. And what I feel is the most important thing is to keep it light as possiable while keeping it strong.
