Default New Shrike .10 Video

This is the 6th flight on my new Shrike .10. stock .20fp factory exhaust. Now, since I have the speed bug and fell in love with this little plane I will be doing all kinds of mods. I hope you enjoy the video. Special thanks to Brian Sumpter.

I think there is some small design flaw in the Shrike design... it seems it is only capable of turning left...

I know of another design flaw. It seams that for some reason when they lazer cut the kits out it must have caused some form of raido wave reflux or some other nomily as it seems the servos that are used for throotle get stuck in the full throttle position.

I hear a team of top notch sientists are working on it but it may never be fixed. lol

Hey, I knew I wasn't the only one that noticed the throttle problem. LOL

What did you think of the video? Haven't had much response. Other than it's to large to download....

Your video has inspired me to put one together. Your video was very professional.I know its hard to keep that that thing in the viewfinder. Do you think a 25 OS will fit in nicely????

I'm running a O.S .20 FP on it. An O.S .25FP is the same size. It will bolt right in Man. I'm hook on this little plane. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

Thanks for your comments

Hey gootrod, I never dealt with lanier, how is the kit overall?
I hear some people replacing the spar with hard wood.
is the fuse a total build up? I'm more of an ARF Guy, but I can build, just dont have lots of time.

Hey 512 CES,

I built several planes and this was my first Lazer Kit. Yes, you do need to make a few simple Mods to it. Replacing the balsa spar is one. Sheeting the tail surface is another. I also left the leading edge sharp. Didn't seem to hurt the glide at all. The battery location needs to be far back as possible. Mine is under the hatch hold down screw. I've read some are moving the fire wall back in order to close the gap at the spinner an also it changes the CG for better balance. I didn't move the fire wall. I made hard wood engine mounts so I could get the engine very close to the fire wall. I have the design of the engine mounts in PDF if you want it? It will work great for your .25.
The kit goes together fairly quick. The wing builds up strange, but fast.
Over all: Thumbs up

My first one had an OS 25fsr. got into a fight with a tree with it, LOST!!!! lol It went 125 or so, maybe faster. The new one I am just about finished with will have an os 32sx. All I did to mine was fully sheet the wing. I got 21 flights before I hit the tree. I didnt sheet the tail section like everyone else says but it may be a good idea.
