Default SIG Kobra

I bought this SIG Kobra used, built as taildragger.

I want to stuff one of my larger JETT engines into it but I got a good deal on a JETT .30 BSE

The .30 Dropped right in on the mount, so it it went.

Now I must wait till spring. [&:]

If the engine fit so easily, it must be too small. Get a .50!

Kidding.. the combo should fly like crazy.. enjoy!

I have a 50! or 3...

50 BSE side exaust on a Nitroplanes bobcat50
50 FIRE on a Diamond Dust
50 sport jet side exaust on the bench
46 sport jet in a Skylark
40 ss destined for a Viper

just did not want the hassel of putting in new blindnuts and mount.
I think the builder of the Kobra had OS .25FX in it.

besides I got two BSE .30 for about $250...

Don't listen to MJD by putting a jett 50 you well need to do mod. to it and it well have a to high of wing loading the Kobra is meant for 25-36 size that's why your 30 jest dropped in. The 30 well do jest fine.

Hey, be nice - this is a speed forum after all, not sport aerobatics. Yeah I agree they will fly just great on the .30. Folks have modded Kobras for .50's before, it's not a big deal. If I come across a Kobra kit I'll likely grab it for my SJ 50 which needs a home right now.

Serious mods were required to put a 50 in there.

The engine mount was a .30 put a Jett .30 in it.

If I were to build the kit, then installing blinduts in a virgin firewal, for the .50 mount is no problem.

Going back and trying to move the blindnuts in a built model did not make sense.

That's all I meant - it is easy to do from scratch, but of course it is a nuisance when built.
