I looked at that..But my pushrods are on the inside of the tail feathers..They are not sitting down in the fuse they are in a box that sits on top of the airframe..

Yeah, the fact that you were asking had me figure it was something that looked like a DD, but was just different enough not to be. Maybe someone did a scratch build based on a DD. Hopefully someone here has the answer to the mystery.

Its a Mike's RC screamin demon do a google search. Its a very nice flyer, I think it flys better than the DD. I have one, running a TT46 jett tuned pipe and a APC 9x7. You'll love it.

That's a nice Demon, I bet the former owner was afraid to fly it.

When I got it I was told it had never been in the air and all of it was new. All three servos were toast..Sent them back to hitec to be told they were 9 years old.Other than that everything did look new. I did put 2 flights on it the other day.Seems fast.It has a magnum52 with stock muffler on it.Will that be an ok motor when it is broken in? This is my first fast plane so nothing to compare it too..

What prop are you turning? Most plastic spinners are bad news at the RPMs that it can turn. The stock muffler is OK for learning/break-in.
If you realy want to wake it up put a Ultra thrust or a Jett tuned muffler on it.
Some Magnums 52s like 10% better.

I'm thinking a 9X9 APC sport prop with stock muffler or performance. Did you set the prop so it's horizontal on compression, that way it may not snag on landing.

I'm going to try a GMS muffler on my OS .46 FX, supposed to get a little more RPMs.

You'll get a little more with the GMS/Tower muffler. I would suggest you use some JB Weld and make the muffler one piece. They are notorious for working loose to matter how tight you get the center bolt. I have even had the bolt break. open it up, remove the baffle, sand the joints and then JB weld it. You'll be glad you did.

A Magnum 52 is noticeably stronger than a OS 46 with the right prop and fuel. With performance mufflers on both engines the difference is even greater.
Some earlier engines had mid range carb problems and crank failures.

At higher rpms the Tower mufflers can break in time where box section meets the muffler body. I bite the bullet and spend the cash for the high performance muffler, never had a problem with those and if you did I'd bet Jett or Performance Specialties would replace it fast. They make more power too.
