Mach Racer Flat Spin.... Oh Boy!
I suspect this has happened to others with the Mach Racer. I was doing a vertical climb with rolls and apparently fed in a bit too much up elevon, causing the Mach Racer to snap into an inverted flat spin. With no rudder, I could not recover. Fortuntately, it floated in, landing upside down in tall grass. Broke both rudders and nothing else. I believe I am going to take the fixed rudders off and make two functioning ones. Anyone else have experience with this?

I had that happen with a Whiplash at about 400' so I thought I had plenty of time. Tried every corner, up, down, idle, part throttle and full, no joy.
I elected to kill the engine before splat down. No harm done.

I've stalled mine at over 100 mph with the elevator, but never had it flat spin on me. Maybe because I never backed off the throttle?

A Whiplash in a flatspin is like a 6 pound flywheel, it should gain altitude.........
