Mvvs .40 Gfs Abc-rc ????????????????
Can anyone help me out here. I have a chance to pick one of these up and am wondering if it is a good engine for a speed plane. I plan on putting it on the nose of an xciter from www.aerocrafts.net Thanks

I am surprised you have had no answers, so I will help.
The combo of the MVVS and any Quickee type design is a
great sport/fun set up. It may not be exteme speed but it will be
fast. I say go for it and let us know how you like it.

I've seen an xciter and they are well built. Not sure I would say its a ultra competitive model with the fiberglass composite racers, but its a nice fast sport plane at a good price.
As to the MVVS, not familiar with that all. You sure none of the Canadian racers have an older Nelson Short Stroke that they would part with at a fair price??

Is this the .40 MVVS that can be turned to rear exhaust? I went to the Canadian MVVS site and it looks like the older smaller crank one like I had in a DD. Good motor but the newer bigger crank version had significantly more power. The larger crank ones are what I have in my twin Outlaw.

RE: Mvvs .40 Gfs Abc-rc ????????????????
hey thanks guys. I figured it must have been a bit of a oddball with the lack of comments, but no worries. I'm pretty excited about the xciter...... corny i know.. lol. It looks to be a nice plane and i got a custom covering job so it should look pretty sweet. I wasn't looking for a composite full on race plane.. just something to get my feet wet with. I'm sure this will induce a bit of pucker factor!! Someone else bought the engine ahead of me so i'll stick my O.S. .55 ax on the nose with a tuned pipe for now and if that gets boring then i look at a real race engine.
thanks for the help gents
happy flying.
