In your travels if you see a K&B 6.5cc P/L set, let me know!
I imagine this is a later engine series [I know even less about K&B than I do about other engines], but by any chance would the d/f or marine sets work?

Progress - grafting on the top half of the spinner ring and whittling the bits that fill in the front of the engine bay.

I haven't thought as far ahead as colors, but I had been thinking a classic Reno/pylon kinda color scheme on one of these might be cool, in some simple bold colors, like good old red/white/trim with racing numbers and checkerboard underneath. Dunno.. I have another 2-3 days fussing over the plug and mold making to tinker with those thoughts, as the time is coming. My main focus at the moment is to get a good mold made for this cowl idea, and test it out. Mind you I can drop it right on my #1 model too if I zip off the top of the spinner ring. Heh heh.. [>:]

would be interesting to note speed with an without cowl.

Have you thought of building in one of those how fast devices Mike?

I don't own one and at the moment all my play money is in kit parts..

I think there are a couple of folks in my general area with radar guns, I need to ferret them out.

But when the opportunity is there, I will indeed do a before/after comparison.

Oooh, I got to fly a Fairchild 24 with Warner radial engine yesterday. Coooooooooooool! Nice stately thing.
