Default Diamond Dust?

How far does everyone sand the cap strip where it comes to the leading edge fiberglass rod.?I thought I had mine sanded down far enough until I covered it. I guess I will a little more drag now.
Thanks,
Craig

I sand mine till it is feathered with the leading edge. There is still a litlle bulge there after covering. Probably does not make that much difference in the overall scheme of things.

Included a pic for your viewing pleasure.
