Default Shoestring+K & B ducted fan motor

Just got a 40 size shoestring type plane and a K & B 7.5 ducted fan engine with the carb on the front-would this be a good combo for a quick plane?...not looking to race, just have fun
Thanks--WW

Should be a blast! I have one on a Skat Cat with tuned pipe. It would turn a DW 8.75X 7 just a tad over 20K on the ground and unloaded to about 22K in the air. Flew about 145MPH.

You definetily need to use a tuned pipe and prop it for the 20K range to get its full potential.

Default well

It should be pretty quick-

The Shoestring is always quick, just make sure to have enough room to get off the ground if you use a 8-9" prop

Keep us posted!
