Keecat 65 video
Well, I finally had the chance to make a video with my new camera. This is the first video I have ever made of my planes and it came out pretty good. I have the camera mounted on its side and I used movie maker to rotate the video 90 degrees, which is why it looks funky. I am in the process of making some kind of a mirror setup to that I can have the camera mounted in such a way that it will take the video upside down and then I can just rotate it 180 degrees.
Here is the video:

UPDATE: Here is another video from the outside- http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=598961
Here are some pictures of it flying:

Great video... I was expecting to see the Keecat but I got to see world from the Keecat's view! Loved the retracting nose wheel, also. What camera equipment are you using? I love to set that up on one of my planes and fly behind a buddy.

Thanks!
Its a el-cheapo CVS camera that has been modified to work for RC. It costs 30 bucks and you have to do some work to it to be able to DL the video to your computer. Here is a link: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ght=CVS+camera to a forum and it talks all about it. If you need some more details, let me know and I will help you out.

Hah!! Very nice! I'm the one that was out at the field flying the Funtana. I liked your plane so much I did a search on here for it, and guess what... ran across the videos you were making...
I'm considering getting one of these, I really like the way yours flew. You had some very nice flights yesterday and guys, his low passes were about 3' above the deck.
Good job.

Well, I guess its a small world after all. Unfortunately, the plane is no more. I was out flying it this afternoon and my elevator servo stripped in a 100mph+ dive and the plane landed hard on its belly right on the runway.
So, if you do buy one, and I suggest you do because this plane is awesome, make sure you use a heavy duty MG servo for the elevator. I'm going to buy another one but it will be a with MG servos on the elevator and ailerons. It sucks that it crashed because if was flying so well but i've learned my lesson...the plane is only as strong as the weakest component.

Wow man... I hate to hear that. I was out at the field flying this evening and commenting to one of the guys how cool your plane was and he told me it was over there in the trash can.... I couldn't freakin' believe it, but he told me about the elevator failing.....
That is a bummer.... you got another one ordered already?? I would like to get one.... I'd probably use the Spektrum high-torque digital servos in it like I have throughout my Funtana... I've really like them. Would they be strong enough?
Hope you have another one flying soon..

Hi, I got a KEECAT-65, with a OS .91 FX ENGINE with a 11X7 pusher prop, or wht would be the best prop to use for top speed on this kind of engine, any suggestions?

RE: Keecat 65 video
Hi guys!
I need a test bed for a series of test flights using a VarioProp & APC 15x11x4 (trimmed to 14.5); any idea what is the largest prop diameter that can be accommodated by the Keecat 65?
TIA,
Jim
