Excited newcomers to speed, be advised this is the older Magnum, not the upgraded Magnum R.

This is the same guy I got mine from. The only difference between the old and new one is the covering and twin leading edge dowels. Also, someone on the 'Bay is selling a new, never run Nelson FIRE with the pipe and mount.

I snagged it. I have seen so much about this plane that i felt like i really didn't fit in to the Brotherhood without one. I was advised that my R/C budget was expended for the year but i have been working extremely long hours so maybe i can use the "i was tired and not thinking right" excuse. If that don't work, i'll just say that you guys made me feel inferior without having this plane. Of course, if the ups guy comes at the right time this thing could stay in the rafters for awhile and when i pull it out i could use the "i've had this one for a long time but just never built it yet"

Getting busted for overspending on airplanes is a prerequisite of Revver brotherhood.

Actually, i needed another plane like i need a hole in the head but it is a cool looking plane and it appears that they are hard to come by. I have gotten as far as gluing the horizontal stab together on my AK Models SU-27 that i got last Christmas. I wonder how long it will take to finish this one.

do you guys get stick and have to make a bloody story just to get the wife/ girlfriend to let you have one. Man do i feel lucky that my girlfriend understands it is my hobby and i can have anything i want aslong as we have money to live on. I even have the biggest bedroom in the house also for a model room and that was my girlfriends idea. I guess next time i buy another model/ kit or what ever i should think myself lucy i dont have to come up with lame excuses[8D]. The mgnum is a great flyer and fast.

It's not as bad as we make it sound. We joke about it sometimes but my wife is very understanding actually and only occasionally hints to the bleak financial outlook we all face in the near future when i go a bit overboard with the spending. I was a career skydiver when we met so i'm sure she is quite pleased with my change in sporting activities. [sm=lol.gif]

Nice. I love mine. Strap a Nelson on it! My advice is to add epoxy (and maybe a small strip of glass) to the ply wing bolt plate. Mine literally fell out after my 195mph flight when I picked it up off of the field after the gentle belly landing. There isn't much holding to the fuse. The fit of the LE dowel in the fuse was also sloppy. I added thin CyA to the dowel and bulkhead and it helped, but I am going to add dual dowels before I fly it again.

Thanks for the advice. It will probably sit for a few weeks before i get to it but i am anxious to see what it will do.

My Viper is broke... The JETT engine fast too fast and it pulled the firewall off the slow plane.
