G'day everyone,
Got the Weston UK Magnum just about ready to fly.
Would be interested to know what oil and at what ratio are you guys using. ProSynth 2000 is not available here.
Thanks and best regards
Ossie

Just flew mine this weekend, you gonna love it.
Im flying 20% castor with 10% nitro. Seems to be running fine. gonna try a mix with synthetic and a bit of castor and see if there is any dif but at the moment it will be going plenty fast for me.

I now run 16% synthetic, 2% castor, 10% nitro and the balance methanol.
Don't ask me why, but the 2% castor seems to have improved plug life somewhat. Strange... I haven't used castor oil in years... but then again, this is the first Webra I have that turns in excess of 20000 rpm... perhaps that has something to do with it...

For my first runs I have used cool power 10% nitro and have added an extra 3% oil, total 20%.
Good luck

Thanks guys,
I'am using 18% coolpower in my other engines, I'll try this with 10% nitro and see how that goes.
I tend to agree with you RampRat.....too much oil.
I emailed Weston in the UK requesting any info on recommended oils and ratios since ProSynth is not available here. Never got a reply.......not really surprised.........it took weeks of emailing just to tell me where I could buy the damn thing, I think he replied just to shut me up.
Cheers
Ossie
