RE: fly king nitro planes webra 1.20 pusher
Hi Gadi,
It looks like a very nice plane, although i would be very careful with that build - you need to take all fuselage formers out and re-glue them with a proper glue (something stronger than the spit that was originally used).
you mentioned that you are planning on installing a 1.20 webra engine, what kind of prop are you using ? its a bit hard to find pusher props at these sizes...
there is a kit for webra that enables the engine to turn CCW (when looking from the back of the engine to the front), by replacing the main shaft to one with different timing - you will be able to turn it the other direction.
good luck.
Raviv.

i know that i need to go over all wood structure with epoxy - the model was on the shelf for more than 2 years and the glue is still wet\sticky, i did most of that togather with fiber as well
you can the it here http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_93...tm.htm#9395367
the webra CW shaft is about 200E, i;m still concedering this option - from budget POV
i will be using a 3-bnlade 13X8 master pusher prop
the webra is with a pump, 2.8HP with a 2300-15000 RPM
thx for looking and see you at latrun

ok, it has being a long time since i posted the status of the progress of my work, and now i'm just about to finish
the remaining issue to be done are:
Main retract steering setup - this is realy sucs as the pull pull hings and cables that i have made are not so relaible so i still need to modify it
CG - major issue - after reviwn this with matter here at RCU and on other forums the best CG location is 10.5"-10" from leading wing edge as the MANUAL IS WRONG!!!!
battery location: a 160gr LIPO 2650 mAh 40C - will be installed while setting up the CG
canoy:
is placed with 4 iiridum magnets and 2 samll velcro - just in case-> a very easy acsess to the HW

wing incidence:
while attaching the wings for the first time i j=have notice that they are not paralel to each other and not with the main center line
after more accurate check with TH laser guide incidence meter, RT wing is +1.5 degree whil ethe LT wing is -1 degree
to fix that i had to drill 4 oval holes on each side, cut and shorten the CF anti rotation tube, aline the wings in paralel to the horizontal stab, each side acordingly
i used 2 wooden plate for each side as the new back pltae with scre and CF exact hole , and a butterfly locking nut for easy install at the field
here are the reasults of this proceadure:

main and nose retracts:
all HW is spring air type with slimline scale jet wheels
had to reenforce the retact base as it is a weak point
the main gear is still an issue as i'm thinking of moving the FW wheel steering servo at the bootom of the fuse so it will be just inline with "T" of the pull pull cable system( not done yet)
the main gear is too low , this why the 6mm strut stick put from its place

[:@]ok, it is 2:30 AM in israel and i'm after a 14 hours shift.. got home at 21:30 and untill now were in my garage doing the front wheel
due to the nature of the retract front wheel with a pull pull cable system,
i have decdided to move the steering servo to the lower side of the fuse, that way it is in line with the "T" horn on the strut and make it easier to adjust and relighable too
the 2 cables are hooked to a rubber band so while the gear is UP the cables are not loosen adn wont get cought with the mechanism...
CG will be on friday...hopefully and the test right after the CG setup togather with the LIPO install...
thx to I2DM ans amir for tips}
see the pics and the video clip as well
