Fuel for the FIRE 50 BSE??
Just wanting to know what percentage of nitro and oil content you're using in your FIRE 50's... Mine flamed out on me after about 1 minute into the flight.. It started sagging and died.. Thinking it went lean on me Sure tested the strength of the whiplash though... hit a tree and there was NO damage!!!!!!
Any nitro/oil suggestions??? Want to make sure I'm not killing my engine...

I get great results just going with Jett's recommendattion: 15% nitro. I have used Sig Champion, Omega, Byrons, Wildcat and Powermaster. They all work fine.
You will snicker at this but my favorite of the bunch is Sig Champion. I always seem to get great results with it. It may not be the best for you but I've never burned up an engine using it. It may have nothing to do with the Champion brand but rather the 20% oil and 50% castor blend it uses that has kept me out of trouble.

Props
Vo,
I'm not an expert but from everything I have seen, heard, and tried one of the best overall props for the Jett 50 is the APC 9X8. The 9X10 is also good.
Another good one is the APC 8.8X9.75. This prop is not on the APC web site prop list but you can get them if you call APC.
Around nine inches of diameter seems to be the max for the 50. Eight inch or smaller props will get you lots more rpm but thrust falls off drastically. I tried eight inch and smaller props but didn't like them. The 8.8 or 9 inch diameter props seems best in my experience.
You can cut down the 8.8 for even more rpm but personally I wouldn't go any less than 8.5 inches diameter.
