Default Who said put a Jett-50 in the Patriot?

Well- Y'all were right and I am not surprised....

That thing is a monster! I unfortunately did not have a 9x8 so I ran a 9.5x6 and it was awesome- with a 6 pitch! Plenty rich and it was haulin' the mail... (ordered 4- 9x8's )

I know there are a bunch of guys with Jett-50's in their Patriots and this is not breaking news, but for a small-town boy> (me) this was as good as RC has been since I started @ 13.

Smilin' from ear to ear.... Even when someone at the club was lecturing me about the flight boundarys

So far:

Rossi-45 too loud
YS-45 Piped too loud
Rossi-60 full pipe gonna be too loud
Jett-50? No-one said anything about the noise they only said " Uhhh, what kinda engine is that?" I said Jett-50, one guy even said "is that European or something?"

Nope

Dub rules, you DO get what you pay for, and yes! I am too low, going too fast, too far away, and all my shtuff is too loud!

Default Jett .50

You may be suprised, but give an APC Sport 10x7 prop a try on that engine. It still gets it into its powerband, and really moves out. I've tried them all on this engine, and the 10x7 seems to work best for me.

Default 10x7 apc

I want to say I remember seeing it at slightly over 16,000 rpms.

Worked well, give it a try.

Default Nitro

I missed your nitro question.

I'm running 15% Omega with a K&B HP plug.

Default Yo, Dave....

....I started out with an 10-6 APC on my Rossi....

....but it wouldn't turn it.....a miserable 14,000. I went
to a 9 1/2-6 MAS, and it jumped to 18,100 on 5%. And
now it comes on the pipe....like 20K, and screams.
