Someone stop me from doing this..
I was puttering in the shop just now, on a brief and hard-earned break from making the requisite platter of Thai spring rolls for the wife-family-Easterfest. Why these gatherings always fall on a beautiful day outdoors.. ah well, happy Easter.
So, I was thinking about the years of elusive tales of bravado with Diamond Dusts, "I knew a guy who had one of them ducted fan engines and bla bla.. 240mph, no sh.." and chuckling, because in fact plenty of people do that kind of stupidity on a regular basis now, with DD,'s Demons etc. With that in mind I started wondering how much a K&B 7.5 DF, pipe, and Mini Demon would total on the scale.. and realized I could likely get this package together for little more than 2 pounds if I kept my head while at it.
And I was thinking about smokinRV4's telemetry results, and how my .15 version will be so much slower, and that was making me sad.
So why not..? I have another set of parts and more coming anyhow. And I scored two of the 7.5's recently for a decent deal. It either flies, or it doesn't.. and I'm getting pretty quick at building them now. Stits covering for sure, major integrity improvement with that.

Probably going to have to have some sort of a mechanical means to launch it, like a bungee or something for consistency, and have it mounted on a 45 degree angle to the right to counteract the torque. [sm=lol.gif] I still say Giver!

This one is neon Monokote, the tips are sprayed neon red hardware store stuff over white primer, and sealed with clear Lustrekote. It's getting the OPS .15.
SRV, I guess you just point 'er straight up and when it stops rolling, level out.
