RE: turbine
It counts anyways - the prop is on the inside and spinning too fast to see.
He's up in the high 200's, got to be pushing 3 bills on those WOT passes.
30lb thrust on an aircraft that is already insane on an 18lb thrust pulsejet. COOL.

RE: turbine
The fuel tanks on that thing are IV bags in the wing. Nice way to get bubbleless operation.
They've been clocked at 250-280mph. Very very difficult to fly. Look up "delta scout" in the turbine forum.

RE: turbine
Yup like erazz says, on the pulsejets (and I imagine in the turbine too), they use a pair of 1l IV bags in compartments near the root of the wing, one on each side on the CG. Typically 75% fill, 1.5l or so for the 18lb thrust pulsejets.
Over here regs mandate rigid fuel cells/tanks. Like a polyethylene tank will hold up on impact.. .. but they pass. I note many turbine guys uses stopper conversions on PET pop bottles, those are really tough to fail.

RE: turbine
Thanks,
Why are they hard to fly? landing seems slow.
Yer just read about them also scout is known as a hotshot trainer with 1 litre plasma bags in wings. That 160 turbine must be thirsty beast.
Fancy a ride on one?
Launch is at 2minutes.
