Default One more step closer

We will start with the tempit 107.5 Deg F now the shed would be around 10 more. So a fair effort this morning. I hope all that check in will make a comment, eithe positive or neg .It's not to late to put some white in the center of that center section. I will make a list now of things needed to do before flying. It is getting shorter. Yours Paul T

Looks good to me. How about an additional flap on the center section of the wing?

Looks like it won't be long now. That's going to be impressive in the air.

The project looks first class!!! Can't wait to see the video!! I don't want to be one of those guys that say the wrong thing on your build but, have you considered two small elevator winglets on the tail to balance out the design? I'm sure that there's plenty of control surface there with the custom spare/elevator that you built. Just seems like it would add a little something to the lines. Again, great job. Would love to see it just running on the ground.

The answer is yes,you may see that the area on the outside of the fueslarge has the space ,area,to do just that. The intention is to match the angle of the wings with the Red White and Black. Center of the tail plain will be all red. This project should be finished right now but the weather has not been cool enough for building.

Default First cool day in weeks

Only one fire today and the day was perfect for building. I cut the through tube to the correct length and added the dowls that locate the wing in the fuselage .I started the required mod for the front wheels along with the required block to alter the retracts . Will work out the required swing in the next building day.
O I checked if it would fit in the car when all togher. Yours Paul T

Default A step closer

I've been doing things that don't show ,but every little bit helps Well this is how the tail plane will look when on ,And yes that little stix is holding the end up..Off to town to get the 3/8 tubes to hold the three sections of tail plane level.

Hi Paul T;
Yes your Jackal will turn heads when you take her to your club field!!! If I was a betting man, I would bet someone from Hangar 9 is following this thread!! I think they should bring this arf back because people still lave and wait this plane!! I am looking forward to your flight review and video of the maiden flight. Please keep the updates coming.

I second that! I just found this thread about a month ago and it reminded me that I had purchased a replacement Jackal after a tree branch collected my original on final. It is a great model and I often wonder why it was discontinued. Either way, the replacement is finished and waiting for spring here in central PA!

Default I think you can see what I see

The heading says it all ,the Jackal 50 is one of the smartest looking aircraft around, it has equiles but nothing better. I have tryed to capture and retain these lines which I think I have.
There are more things to do,there is the white on the tail plain outre section and of course the elevator. After I post this I will be in the shed fitting that item.. I will post one more photo with the elevator fitted and then you can hold your breath for the Video. Yours Paul T

2 Brave There are no words to discribe the sound of the two Evolutions running in sink at 16,000 Revs. It took around 2 hours to do the tune and make sure everthing was set as perfect as possible. The test flight will be early next week either Monday or Tuesday.I/m just sitting here with a grin on my face. Its had to believe that the Monster is ready to go flying. The pull it had at the top end sitting on the bench was fantastic
jet22b The test flite will be next week as the event that its been flown in is on sunday week. So we are out of time in time. All this work just to fly it a few times.
Not to forget that Norm will be the pilot at all of its outings.,A top man for the Job yours Paul T

Good luck with your first flights. Very cool looking airplane. I hope you are able to post a video of it in the air. Should look awesome in the air. Let us know how it goes.
