New 'attempt'. Mr. Smoothie 'reloaded'

Una quasi palese copiatura. The Mr. Smoothie from the Dr. Hepperle's Website. (my version). I will post the details when i will get the time. Moments and wing/tail surfaces are close to the ones of my previous design.
No wing fillets here. But the horizontal tail will be made with balsa covered foam.
For the Fuselage, I suggest to follow the construction technique of the 'MINI MACH' from M.R.A. Web Boutique. (http://www.mra-magazine.com/).
I took the measurements directly from the little drawing on the Hepperle's Website and i wrote them in my sketch.

The airfoils I choosed are Eppler 221 to the Root (+0 wing incidence) and Eppler 178 for the wingtip.
The wing is made from Obeche and foam , the horizontal tail is made from balsa and foam. The vertical tail is made from 5mm balsa sheets.

I am attracted by the 'Roofmat' construction technique. You can get info by reading this website: http://alain.vassel.pagesperso-orange.fr/piaggiomra.htm . (I still have to read it).

They use to build R/C planes for the R/C ACES class with sucees from years with this technique.

. Sono stato letto nel pensiero... ' della serie... : 'na botta de Fibra par sora e via... ' Yes, but from the rear of the Firewall to the nose cone ring you still have to make the motor mount with two beech- wood spars and then to build up the Balsa wood front end around them and to glass over it well.

No. The good idea would be the following: to make the conventional slab sides box fuselage reinforced on top and bottom by a trellis structure , then build the upper and the lower portion of it with foam which has to be sanded well and Fiber-glass all together.

This will allow you to be sure to have built the fuselage 'straight' from the nose to the rear end.

(Clearly don't take me too seriously!).

Simple, proportional, one function radio control system, suitable for Gliders and little planes powered by 1/2A engines.
