Patriot 40 cg

Does anyone know or remember the c.g they like for their Patriot 40? I just finished a new one yesterday and expected to add weight unlike my old one because the YS on the new one is a bit heavier than the OS VF 46 on the old one. Also it has a steering servo in the tank compartment, a nose gear door and lighter servos in the back, but I didn't expect to add 4 oz in the tail cone to achieve 8 3/4 back from the leading edge. I know a swept wing is decieving but 8 3/4 looks like a long way back.
I had the idea to check the c.g on my old one and it's 7 3/4. That's a lot of difference but I have been flying that plane 22 yrs so it obviously works for me. Has anyone flown the Patriot at the factory recommended 8 3/4"? Unless some of you have and liked it, I don't think I will maiden the new one without removing some weight.
Appreciate any help,
Cody
