delayed response on throttle servo (?)

hi, i would like to setup my Patriot to train for my first DF jet :D

i have red several posts on setting it up this way to get used to the delayed power response on a DF jet, but could't find the technical info on how to do it...

what do i need to delay the throttle servo to approx 1 second after the tx stick input? i think a sequencer might be able to do it, but is there a simple(r) way without an expensive gadget to achieve the same result?

i do not have en expensive radio (JR XP662) so programming the delay into the tx is not an option [&o]

thanx for any advice,
Vasek

Set the servo to delay 3 sec., the delay is not from the engine to respond the engine will respond as soon you move the throttle much like a regular two stroke engine the delay comes from the thrust produce by the fan it takes a few seconds to push the airplane forward much like a small prop on a fast plane.

Turbines is the other way around they take about 5 to 7 sec. to spool up to speed.

Hope this helps.

actually, the delay is about 3 to 4 seconds depending on manufacturer. Small prop and a 3 second delay would be as close as I could guess to tell you to go. Interesting concept, I'm interested to hear how the testing goes. Be exceptionally careful, I have no idea what your reflexs are going to do with the unusual response you're going to feel.

sean, thanks for the concern, i will set the initial delay to 1 sec and work my way up gradually to 3 secs, this way i will not have any surprizes...

however, it might be a while before testing, have no time to finish my patriot now (will prob fly only next spring with it ) but i will let U know how it goes :D
