Well all I can say holy SH%^. This was my first attempt at building a kit on my own I usually have help from a friend of mine. The covering is all monocoat and the red is just pinstripe tape. I am so happy with the way it turned out, and oh yea this bad boy moves had to of been 5 rolls per sec just insane. The only thing is I am running a tower 46 stock pipe (dam Japanese noise regulations) slinging a 10-7 and it has a real problem with high g’s when I pull up hard coming out of or in to a dive the engine bogs and some times stalls any suggestions? But other than that it is just awesome well tell me what you think, (termagator was my inspiration for the flowing checker board pattern on the bottom. oh yea and now I want to go faster I am thinking of putting mw YS .45 on it !!

I am running a TT 46pro and a 9/7apc. getting 17,000rpms out of this thing at about 120mph. Not bad for a cheap engine.

YS 45 is a good engine but inmy opinion is finicky and besides your going to have to drill a hole in the bottom of the plane. Go with a Jett.50

Nice looking Shrike, your engine stalling sound like fuel flow problems, check out the other post which is on topic at the moment

I don't think the YS-45 is finicky, but I would go with the Jett anyway--- More power, no pipe necessary no low speed "hole" as Cyclic mentioned-

The Webra-50 is super light and purty powerful if you come across one of those---

Here's mine as of last night. Started it over 2 months ago... or was it 3 months ago. Too much work at my job lately but hopefully this guy will be done tonight or tomorrow night.

It was a while ago, i think you started just before i built mine, nice covering job, mine is currently being recovered due to unexpected nasties[:-]

Try propping down to a 9x8, and see if that don't help with the "bogging" down. May help keeping the rpm's up in your high G turns. Also, give it an extra click to rich....

Of course, this is assuming everything is hunky dory with the fuel tank/line set up.

edit> Have you thought about trying the TH "tuned" muffler? This may give you a little better performance with the 10x7, if you don't want really wind it up, propping it down.

Yea checked the clunk and the tank is well padded so I don’t think it is a foaming problem so I am going to try a different prop and see what happens this weekend. I have been busythis week building a run duck (it is my friends design almost indestructible (except for those jumping trees check out the picture and this little bugger moves too
